About Us

The idea for Shoebox Savior originated in the summer of 2007, when Jeff Tatanus looked in his parents' closet and saw albums of thousands of photographs. He contemplated what the future could bring for these memories, and thought about the possibility of natural disasters or the fading of the photos.

Because of this, he looked for a solution, and found a Kodak scanner which could scan multiple photos at once. With this hardware, we can scan hundreds of photos in a relatively short period of time and preserve your photographs for years to come.
